Basic Policy

Guided by our management philosophy of “providing convenience, joy, and excitement through our products,” here at Arealink we value dialogue with all stakeholders, including customers, business partners, shareholders and investors, employees, and local communities, and we are committed to playing an active role in building a sustainable society while striving to enhance corporate value.

Commitment to Society environment for society

Enriching our lives

Storage solutions help create a more organized living space, fostering a sense of ease and enriching our lives. With operations spanning the country, Arealink contributes to the creation of an environmentally conscious society where people can enjoy brighter, more fulfilling lives through the widescale provision of storage services.

Containers for disaster situations

We provided free storage to those affected by the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake. We have put in place a system to provide storage during large-scale disasters, supporting the recovery of affected areas.

Disaster prevention agreements with local governments

We have signed a disaster prevention agreement with Ota City in Tokyo where we will provide free storage space for stockpiled supplies for people unable to return home during disasters.

Outreach classes for elementary school students

This is a drive to teach children the importance of tidying up and organization, and to provide an opportunity for them to think about it together. We launched outreach classes for elementary school students in 2023 and for junior high school students in 2025.

Commitment to the Environment Environmental Initiatives

Minimizing environmental impact with the 3Rs

When handling the disposal of stored items through our services, we strive to minimize the environmental impact by selecting the most appropriate method from the perspective of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).

Cultivating a culture of valuing possessions

We will contribute to cultivating a culture of valuing possessions, such as reducing waste with our storage solutions.

Rigorous separation of business waste

We are committed to PET bottle recycling. Discarded PET bottles are transported via the recycling center within the office building to specialized recycling plants for reuse.

Storage facilities for long-term use

Container-type and building-type storage units do not require plumbing facilities, so long-term use is possible. Additionally, when container properties operated by our company are closed due to contract expiration, they are recoated for maintenance purposes and then reused at another location.

Adopting green power

Starting in January 2025, we switched to green electricity supplied entirely from renewable energy sources for our head office. By using electricity free of global warming-causing carbon dioxide emissions, we promote sustainable management and contribute to environmental protection.

Recycling home appliances

We have been contributing to the recycling of home appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators, and we will continue to play a part in building a recycling-oriented society.

Pursuant to Article 13, Paragraph 1 of the Act, “retailers” are obligated to collect and transport eligible items and are required to publicly disclose the associated collection and transportation fees, and we are, therefore, notifying you of the fees as detailed below. We will continue to do our utmost to help realize a recycling-oriented society.

Guided by the founder’s philosophy that “health is everything,” we are committed to maintaining and improving the health of our employees.
To realize our corporate philosophy of “providing convenience, joy, and excitement through our products,” together with our commitment to “small-scale management” and the aims of our Medium-Term Management Plan, we fundamentally depend on the health of each and every employee, and to achieve this, we are dedicated to creating a workplace environment where employees can feel at ease while working.

Commitment to Good Health

Certified as a “2025 Health and Productivity Management Excellent Corporation”

To achieve business expansion through small-scale management, we fully support employee wellness initiatives. As a reward for our efforts, we have been certified as a “2025 Health and Productivity Management Excellent Corporation (Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Category)” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Japan Health Council.

Health management and safety assurance by the Health and Safety Committee

To ensure health management and safety, we hold monthly Health and Safety Committee meetings with our occupational physician. At each meeting, we set the agenda and decide on matters such as analyzing stress check results and deciding what measures to take. These decisions are disclosed internally. Every two months, our occupational physician conducts workplace inspections to assess the office environment.

Opportunities for health checkups during working hours

We provide opportunities for employees to undergo health checkups during working hours. For employees identified as requiring follow-up tests or specific health guidance during their checkup, we schedule an initial consultation. Thus, we are committed to dealing with any health concerns.

Subsidies for quit-smoking clinics and garlic injections

Creating a low-carb meal plan for employees shopping at convenience stores

We created a low-carb meal plan to help employees make healthier food choices even at convenience stores. Considering that employees frequent different stores, we prepared recommended menus for each store.

Commitment to Physical Activity

Installation of health-related equipment within the office

Oxygen chambers, blood pressure monitors, massage chairs, and other equipment are installed within the office to help employees switch off for a short while and refresh themselves during work hours.

Installation of training machines within the recreation center

Beginning movement load training (BMLT) machines are installed within the recreation center, enhancing not only flexibility and range of motion but also promoting fatigue recovery and alleviating lack of exercise. Free-flowing natural hot spring baths are also provided.

A program designed for all employees to tackle our highest targets during October to December in preparation for a strong start to the upcoming year. Each year, we launch various good health drives, including walking, core training, and stretching.
